Why You Deserve Better Than Clickbait Health Marketing

Early morning at 3 a.m.—a still, reflective hour. Have you ever found yourself wide awake, processing emotions you can’t ignore? That was me—sleepless, sitting with my feelings. I turned to YouTube for comfort, diving into videos on self-love and loving others - there is some good stuff out there. And yes, I scrolled Instagram with a cup of coffee (because sometimes, yes, I am that person who drinks coffee to sleep—but that’s a story for another day).

Then a post stopped me: “Cleanses & detoxes are a scam.” I get it—there’s plenty of misinformation out there. But posts like “The biggest scam in holistic health: Candida cleanses” and “Stop trying to heal your hormones” hit a nerve. The issue isn’t with cleanses or protocols—some can be valuable tools - when used correctly.

The real problem is a culture obsessed with quick fixes—chasing rapid results over sustainable change. Disruptive marketing might grab attention, but it rarely educates or builds trust. It misses the magic of how incredible—and complex—our bodies are at healing.

I'm excited to launch my 13-month 'Your Body, Your Power' program soon, which takes a whole-body approach to health with hormone balance as a key outcome—because hormones are the body’s messengers, and without clear communication, the body can’t thrive. This whole-person program dives into the real foundational work: nervous system support, stress management, nutrition, metabolic health, circadian rhythms, and detox pathways. The 13-month design isn’t just for learning but for integration—giving you the time and space to make lasting changes that truly stick.

But here’s my dilemma: Can we capture attention without resorting to clickbait? Have we lost touch with what actual health feels like? When did we stop valuing authentic relationships with coaches and practitioners who honour us as individuals, not just followers?

Am I the only one who feels I might pop a vein when I see an ad for a '12 Weeks to Lose 12 Kgs Before Summer' weight loss program? Can we move beyond disingenuous clickbait marketing that preys on vulnerability, creates false expectations, insults our intelligence, and reinforces the quick-fix fallacy?

I’d rather earn your attention because you’re genuinely seeking a whole-person approach—not because I hooked you with a catchy line or preyed on your desperation for a solution.

So, I’d love your input—because your feedback will shape how I share this program:

  • What kind of health marketing feels real and honest to you?

  • What makes you feel seen and understood when choosing a coach or program?

Let’s talk about health marketing that’s real, transparent, and truly honours the healing journey.
